GDPR I have noticed Cybersecurity, IT, & Authors making claims about the number of companies GDPR Compliant, but not the Companies themselves.

GDPR CCPA – I have noticed Cybersecurity, IT, & Authors are making claims about the number of companies already GDPR Compliant, but not the Companies themselves. Articles, written from surveys, state that X% of C levels claim to be near GDPR & CCPA compliance. However, when I search Google for “Companies claiming to be GDPR Compliant” or “A list of GDPR Compliant Companies” or hundreds of other combinations, I find NO fortune or large company in the world, taking Kudos to being near GDPR compliant. So why the disconnect?

I suspect a fortune 500 C level would be reluctant to admit they were not close to GDPR/CCPA Compliancy & expose themselves to a reporter.  Or the issue may be that many C levels aren’t knowledgeable of all the requirements.

I don’t feel Companies are misrepresenting themselves, but perhaps authors of these articles aren’t verifying the answers or clarifying their questions properly.  However, what survey taker would have the ability to verify the results.

Can someone explain the ‘Compliancy Discrepancy’ or provide the name of a company or two that is compliant and deserving of recognition? They should be proud of their achievement and gain the customers who are waiting for ‘Safe’ companies to give their business to.

Plan 2-4 years for Compliancy’s.
