CCPA (Soon), GDPR(Now) A recent article shows only 27% claim compliancy compared to last year’s claim of nearly 70%.  Had C levels been misled by those responsible for GDPR compliance, or had C levels not verified those claims? While EU regulators are finally enforcing GDPR and California’s CCPA allows for both citizens & California’s Attorney General to file claims, the future looks ominous for companies that ignore these regulations.

Two years ago, surveys indicated most EU CEOs felt they were ready for GDPR or would be by May of 2018 and a large % of USA Executives claimed the same. Today we have not heard a single company publicly loudly announce they are compliant. I believe a Company would boast to their customers & gain market share if they were even close.

On your own, GDPR or CCPA could take 3 to 5 years to near completion. With the proper technological tools, you could reduce that to 6 to 12 months. I confidently say “Our compliance & metadata technology will meet these goals.”
