At least 24 states have laws that address data security practices of private sector entities.

I will say in my opinion, CCPA and other proposed Data Regulatory Compliancy’s are not to be taken lightly and will cause havoc for Companies. Once this starts being acknowledged, the EU GDPR Commission may finally begin to be more aggressive in enforcement.

With all this said, companies may want to now take citizens personal data more seriously and get compliant quickly, and quickly could take 2-4 years.
